Lawrence Fabrication was pleased to support the FIRST Robotics Team 283, The Generals, this past school year. Team 283 is made up of 21 high school students from 6 high schools. They design, machine, build, and program a 120lb robot from scratch each year under the supervision of adult mentors from education and engineering. Then they compete on the field against teams from around the world, some made up of 70 students and with the backing of universities and major corporations. The Generals take pride that their robot was done by the students. Lawrence Fabrication provided component parts for the robot and looks forward to future sponsorships.
Earlier this year, Lawrence Fabrication was honored by the Simpsonville Police Department during their 2015 awards banquet. The Certificate of Appreciation was awarded for participation in the Susan G. Komen Donation Chute to raise awareness of breast cancer and to accept donations for the non-profit organization. The Simpsonville Police Department unveiled “Suzie,” the pink patrol car used on site at businesses that partner with them to support the organization. The employees of Lawrence Fabrication were pleased to help and to be recognized for their efforts. Lawrence looks forward to many more community projects this year and in the years to come.
